A Day at Brentwood
Sorcha, Thomas, William and I went to Brentwood park yesterday for some outside time. Thomas loves Brentwood. It's just a real nice park. Lots of shade, lots of room to run around and especially a sandbox. Thomas loves to play in the sandbox. Although, this trip he didn't want to because it was too hot. Oh well... He did have a great time. At one point he chased a couple girls around the playscape as a dinosaur. They all loved it.
Thomas Giving Duck a Haircut
Every now and then your kids do things that are just too adorable. For whatever reason Thomas felt like on of his stuffed animals needed a haircut. Why not! Take a look at these videos to see Thomas the future barber.

William Playing by Himself
William's getting to be a pretty big boy. He can sit up now and even play by himself. Heres's a short movie of him sitting in Thomas' room playing by himself. More movies here.

William Loves His Brother
Or should I say just thinks he's really funny. For the longest time, Thomas was the only one who could get William really laughing. It's not quite the same anymore, but he still gets a kick out him.

Rescue Woody
This was about 3 weeks ago but I'm just now getting around to posting it. We put a few bungy cords in Thomas' stocking this year and he continues to come up with new ways to play with them.

Christmas Morning...
It's hard being Santa... Sorcha and I decided that Santa was going to give Thomas his new "big boy" bike this year. That bike is the Glider Rider. If any of you don't know what that is I encourage you to check it out. It's very cool. Well... It came in the mail about 2 weeks ago. We hid it so Thomas would never find it. We waited patiently for him to go to sleep Christmas Eve. I finally opened the box and started to assemble it. It was missing a crucial screw and nut to hold the seat on. Ouch! Lesson learned... don't wait until Christmas Eve to check to see if all the parts are included in the box. Needless to say, I'm kind of freaking out at this point. I'm not the most handy person in the world, so I don't have a stocked work bench with all types of screws, etc. I do have some, but not very many. So... I went out into the garage to hunt for something that would work. After a long and arduous hunt... I found 1 screw and nut that would work. I couldn't believe it. I actually had something that would work. I screwed on the seat and went to bed. It's hard being Santa.Tuesday, December 25, 2007
Happy little boy...
Christmas Eve at the Cavanaugh household. The house wasn't completely ready but it was okay. We still need a lot of finishing touches but it was nice to have our family over for Christmas in our new house. Sorcha made a fantastic roast beef with yorkshire pudding. My favorite meal all year. Her parents, her brother and sister and my parents were all here to celebrate. It was a great time. Thomas received a great wooden crane from his Aunt Brittany and Uncle Eli. And if you couldn't tell from the photo, he loved it. It was one of two presents he received tonight. The other was a fantastic wooden play treehouse from his Gigi. You can see that at the end of the movie below. He was quickly using the new crane to lift things up to the treehouse. Very cute... Here are some pictures I took. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
